Our Story

OWNERS AARON & KAREN BOUCHARD

Aaron and Karen Bouchard of Caulfield, Missouri started Wags on Wheels in 2021 after Covid brought them to the small town in southern Missouri. What started as a single van and a simple idea... that pets deserve a safer, more personal way to travel than a cargo hold... has grown into a nationwide ground transport company trusted by breeders, rescues, and families in all 48 states.

Every puppy, dog, and cat who rides with Wags on Wheels is treated the way they would want their own pets treated: with patience, comfort, and genuine care, mile after mile.

Our Fleet

QUALITY TRANSPORTATION FOR YOUR PETS

What began with one van has grown into a fleet of five Ford Transit vans, each fully air-conditioned and upfitted with custom insulation along with dual temperature controls for both the drivers and our furry passengers. We run a team of 14 experienced drivers, running scheduled nationwide routes three times a month, departing on the 4th, 14th, and 24th each month. In 2025, over 3600 pets were transported successfully!

OUR PROMISE TO YOU

LICENSED, INSURED, AND TRUSTWORTHY

Wags on Wheels is USDA licensed, state licensed, and fully insured. We hold ourselves to the highest standards because your pet's safety isn't negotiable, it's the whole point of what we do.

We show up, we communicate, and we treat every pet like family. This is why Aaron and Karen started this company, and it's the standard our whole team is held to on every single run.

Mad props to my guy at Wags on Wheels. Whether it's the east coast or west or even at the Mexican border where I've lived in McAllen, Texas, our rep at Wags on Wheels delivers fast and at the lowest rates.

Five Stars. Wags on Wheels were exceptional to work with! They delivered our new puppy to us; happy, healthy, and clean. They took all the stress away with their clear communications from the beginning of their journey to the end. I especially loved being able to track our puppy on life 360. It was a pleasure to work with them!

Karen and Aaron took great care delivering our pup for us, allowing us to track their progress and frequent updates on our pup’s ETA. They gave her a bath before they delivered her and she was beautiful and awake and ready to play when she arrived!

We had a great experience with Wags on Wheels. Communication was exactly as promised — we received updates, tracking access, and advance notice before delivery. Our puppy arrived safely, clean, and calm despite the long trip. The drivers were professional and clearly experienced handling young puppies. Everything went smoothly from pickup to drop-off, and we appreciated the clear communication throughout the route. We would absolutely use them again and recommend them to others needing safe and reliable pet transport.
